One word to rule them all. Snap it into twigs. Feel the letters splintering. Tearing the innocent flesh that dared to catch the pieces.
Now let the stale air smell the wings of light. Each shaft saying—SCREAMING—NO!
No to pain and misery caused by division. No to anger and hate. For fate already has a date with destiny.
Destiny zips up its corset. Pressing lipstick 💄 against it's lips until it segments to create a false smile.
Bare knees fall heavily to the gravel floor, and the clown of time lies still as bloodied knees chat amongst themselves, waiting for the ego-masters to give THE KISS OF LIFE—TODAY!

CJB Creative Notes: Blame #vss365 for this freestyle poem. I was not planning on creating today. My body is in a bit of pain and it's telling me to stop being on a computer! But the urge came as I sat by my front window waiting for my brother to arrive for Easter. My dad had just fallen asleep and before I knew it I was rushing to my bedroom to adhoc read this into my phone and then create a video to add here and elsewhere. What did you think of it? I think my pained body is coming through each word, and I think subconscious feelings about the world may be at play. But what I know is, I BLOODY ENJOYED THIS ONE! Chat soon.......
