Life is whatever you make it...
Breaking life's shell, time flows heavily anew
Eyes crack open, lungs expel, adventure calls
Life's quest pumps through vein filled maps
A body reacts, feet play, eager steps are taken
Concrete kisses soft skin, an education in balance
Hair tickles the shoulders as scissor blades clap
Stressed muscles push contours into adulthood
Love awakens the heart, a pulse beats a rhythm
Tenderness flows into the mind, two forms as one
Energy exchanges, two smiles fall into a slumber
A miracle nods to life, cells magically arrange
Families for millennia are used to this change
"This poem/song has tried to impossibly capture a rhythm of life, from being born, growing up, to adulthood and procreation, to starting another family.
