Guilty or Not Guilty?

"The truth within always stands tall." ✨ CJB

man standing tall under the sign for justice

Guilty or Not Guilty?

Guilty is a powerful word.
To be or not to be—GUILTY—that is the question?
Whether it is divine justice for the mind to suffer,
To mull in the guilt of a crime they did or did not commit.
Victims must find solace in the karma of life.

For if someone is guilty,
That guilt will weigh heavier,
Upon the brow of thought.
Nobody gets away with their crime,
So if you are someone who feels,
That justice was not served this day—
Fear not, worry less, trust in the divine.

The guilty will hang themselves from within,
Guilt will eat away happiness if they sin,
But the innocent will bathe in the yin and yang,
No matter what other's think and say,
The innocent will be set free this day,
For they know from within their soul,
They are innocent, and so, they will—
ALWAYS—stand tall.

One of the reasons to keep coming back to this blog is it is the central place where I can come back and upload improved versions of things. I release the song late last night because I was eager to share it, but as much as I do love and chose to release it with the distorted sound, I also am a perfectionist and like to try again. Here is an improved, less distorted version of the song. Let me know what you think in the comments on X, is it clearer for you? Which version do you prefer artistically?

Note 1:

Today's #vss365 poetry prompt word was #guilty, and this one made my soul burst with words. 'Guilty' as a word is so loaded. There are many stories of innocent people being punished while the guilty walk away, and of those who are guilty not receiving what many would consider a harsh enough prison sentence.

This poetry song is written to bring you relief because nature has the guilty things sorted. Within everything, even the most evil vile human beings who think they've got away with something will not be able to run away from their own minds.

Justice will always prevail even when you think it won't. Nature has your back; karma will win out. This is why you must live through your soul, be good, kind, and help others live a peaceful and soulfully happy life.

This creation was meant to be emotive; what did you think? See you on X.

AI song generation at this moment in time is amazing but it is also really frustrating because a lot of the songs it produces are not perfect, they have terrible distortions, words are wrong, you name it AI can do it wrong. And so as a songwriter/producer I have to manually edit using Audacity to try and make a terrible sound acceptable.

Here is an improved (especially 3:05 which was dire), less distorted version of the song. Although I think you also lose some of the distorted wild punch of the original edit. Let me know what you think in the comments on X, is it clearer for you? Which version do you prefer artistically?
