D-Day Love

In 1944 "Bail out" lingo meant you had to jump from a plane,
Whilst bullets sprayed through the sky like drops of rain.

The world was still at war fighting something terribly dark....
In the end it was time for loving humans to make their mark,
So many brave countries fought alongside the United States,
And together "D-Day" was planned with uncertain dates.

A nervous decision settled on the 6th June,
A day blood scarred too many a sand dune.

Oh there were a lucky few dismissed as "Herdbound",
But too many hit the beaches and fell to the ground,
(Some of their brave bodies have never been found).

In the end D-Day successfully turned the tides -
- But tides return and that's where darkness hides:

So if you ever see another war - of any particular kind,
Attack with ONLY LOVE until you change their mind....
