Alacristic Heart
You are stronger than you think...
You and your alacristic heart,
Deeper than veins, knew it at the start.
You always looked at other men,
And I knew it, even then.
Alacristic heart, alacristic heart,
Your liveliness is a work of art,
All of the men and all of the nights,
You must have lit them with such delights.
My door is open, even now,
My tears try to shut it, oh why,
Why do those doves still cry.
I could call you, take out my phone,
But all I can hear are those other men groan,
You took my heart,
And tore it apart.
Alacristic heart, alacristic heart,
Your liveliness is a work of art,
All of the men and all of the nights,
You must have lit them with such delights.
I think I'll close my door right now,
I've been reading this book, called the Dao,
Something in it made me think,
I'm burning our letters, smelling their ink.
I've set myself free now,
In this final hour,
Now it's my alacristic heart, holding the power.
The door is shut, I'm fast asleep,
I feel so enriched, I hope you feel cheap.
